This week, Sapien took Proof of Quality to the Futurist Conference. Product Manager Ali Malik presented our vision on the main stage, placing AI verification before a broad audience of builders, investors, and technology leaders.

Ali’s presentation focused on the widening gap between AI production and verification. AI can produce work in seconds, while reviewing the data and judgments behind that work still demands time, expertise, and evidence. 

“Every era of computing has built its own trust layer. The web got the padlock. That's why you shop online without thinking twice. AI, and the data economy underneath it, gets Proof of Quality. Somebody is going to build that layer, and we intend to be the ones.”

As these systems shape software, financial decisions, physical machines, and other consequential work, that gap becomes harder to ignore.

Autonomous AI changes where mistakes become dangerous. Reasoning under uncertainty has always been part of language models, though connecting that reasoning to software capable of executing work changes the consequences without changing the uncertainty itself. 

Our latest blog shows how many public agent failures share the same underlying structure. The visible incident usually appears during execution, although the underlying error occurred much earlier when the agent accepted an unsupported assumption about its environment or authority. The action simply exposed a decision that had never been independently verified.
